Founded on 31 January 2025 as the non-profit subsidiary of Elucid Social GmbH.
Articles of Association and Objectives
The purpose of the company is to promote development cooperation and improve healthcare for vulnerable populations in developing countries. Elucid Health gGmbH pursues exclusively and directly non-profit and charitable purposes.
Tax-Exempt Status
Elucid Health gGmbH was recognized as a non-profit organization and exempted from Gewerbesteuer by the most recent Freistellungsbescheid pursuant to § 60a Abs. 1 AO issued by the Finanzamt für Körperschaften I Berlin on 26 March 2025 under tax number 27/613/01131, on the grounds that it exclusively and directly serves tax-privileged purposes within the meaning of §§ 51 ff. AO.
Names and Roles of Key Decision-Makers
Elucid Health gGmbH is managed by the co-founders of the company:
PD Dr. Julius Emmrich — Co-founder and Managing Director
PD Dr. Samuel Knauss — Co-founder and Managing Director
Both Managing Directors have the authority to represent the company individually.

Source and Use of Funds
Elucid Health gGmbH is primarily funded through institutional grants and project contributions from international organisations and foundations.
The following funders each contributed more than 10% of total income in the financial year 2025:
UBS Optimus Foundation UK: 52.1%
Stichting De Chocolonely Foundation: 33.9%
No private individual made payments representing more than 10% of our total annual budget.
